The Brief
A custom jewellery brand wanted a build-your-own-ring experience. Off-the-shelf Shopify apps for this carry recurring monthly fees, so the builder was built directly into the theme.
The Approach
- 01Prioritise large product imagery and a clean product-page layout over decorative theme elements that compete with the piece.
- 02Build a four-step ring builder (setting, stone, review, next step) natively in the theme instead of renting an app.
- 03Refine variants and collections against real merchandising needs as the catalogue grows.
