The Brief

Everyday questions like a loan payment, a unit conversion, or a percentage get buried under ads and sign-up walls elsewhere. Sabby Bro is our own product: a calculator site that answers the question immediately and explains the maths.

The Approach

1. 01Organise the catalogue around how people ask the question (money, health, everyday, converters) and add search on the homepage so they can type what they need.
2. 02Design for readability first: a hyperlegible typeface, high contrast, and a text-size control in the header.
3. 03Publish plain-language guides next to the tools, so each calculator is backed by an explanation of how the result is worked out.
4. 04Offer a short custom-request form for visitors who need a calculator that does not exist yet.

What We Built

• Astro static build generating roughly 270 tool pages from shared templates, so every page loads fast with almost no JavaScript.
• Category pages, homepage search, and a Most-used list to keep a large catalogue easy to navigate.
• A guides section with worked examples for topics such as compound interest, BMI, discounts, and tipping.
• Generated sitemap and robots files, with structured page titles and descriptions across the catalogue.

The Result

A live, free tool site that we run ourselves, and a working example of building a large catalogue of useful pages without sacrificing speed or readability.
